Kyle Patterson
Director/Solicitor
Kyle qualified as a solicitor in 2001 having previously worked as a paralegal and a Barrister’s clerk. Consequently, he has been involved in the legal world of the North East for nearly 30 years.
During that time, Kyle has established many relationships with other legal professionals which allows him to operate in an effective, efficient manner as far as his clients are concerned.
Kyle is just as comfortable appearing before senior judiciary as he is in dealing with distressed parents facing life-changing decisions. His warm, confident manner has enabled him to build a solid reputation in court and a loyal client base.
Kyle prides himself on the fact that he is often described as being ‘not like a normal solicitor’ in that he ensures that clients have a thorough understanding of the issue they face and the options available to them, regardless of their background or level of understanding.
Kyle is an accomplished criminal advocate, Crown court litigator, a qualified Court Duty Solicitor, a member of the Law Society’s Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme and a highly experienced police station advisor. He has represented clients in the full spectrum of criminal allegations, from simple theft offences to cases involving Organised Crime Groups and murder.
For the last 10 years, Kyle has also undertaken Public Law Care Proceedings, acting for parents, grandparents and children in cases involving social services and applications to place children outside their birth families. He is accredited by the Law Society Children’s Panel and recognised as a person with particular expertise in such matters. His sensitive, supportive handling of such cases is exemplary. He regularly deals with cases involving allegations that parents have caused significant harm to children.
Kyle strives to ensure every client is treated in the best way possible to give them the very best outcome regardless of their situation.
