Ben Nixon

Ben is a Solicitor within our Family department who has a wealth of experience in Family Law and specialises in representing both parents and children in Care Proceedings.

Ben qualified as a Solicitor in January 2009 and has experience in dealing with complex Care Proceedings cases including non-accidental injuries, representing clients with complex/additional needs and cases with an international element. Ben is well established on the North East circuit and undertakes a lot of advocacy within his own caseload as he understands the importance of continuity and attention to detail for clients within Care Proceedings. He recognises the importance of a personal service and always strives to achieve a positive outcome for clients.

Ben is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel of Solicitors having joined that specialist panel in 2014, he works closely with Children’s Guardians when representing children in care proceedings. He is also a proud and long-standing member of Resolution and serves on both the North East Committee and nationally through the Regional Liaison Committee.
