Legal Assistants are integral to the success of the business, providing Lawyers with essential and pro-active support.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Drafting of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Assist their line manager by being an additional point of contact for clients
- Managing the day-to-day running of Estate Administration matters
- Undertake certain elements of chargeable work under supervision as allocated by Directors and other fee earners
Deal with chasing of clients and third parties - Be the first point of contact for the department’s initial enquiries over the telephone and face-to-face and provide cost information to the client;
- Open electronic files following receipt of instructions from the client.
- Assist with maintaining electronic and physical files so they remain compliant and up-to-date
- Preparing correspondence and documents through audio typing and word processing
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all the firm’s and client documentation and information
- Open and scan in post for the office;
- Maintain adequate supplies and resources for the office
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- Have recent knowledge and experience working within a busy Wills and Probate department within the legal sector
- Have strong communication and client care skills to ensure our clients receive an efficient, reliable and friendly service over the telephone, in written correspondence and face-to-face
- Demonstrate initiative and be flexible and proactive in their support to the department and the wider office team
- Have strong organisational skills to manage their own workload whilst managing their line manager’s diary
- Demonstrate attention to detail and have excellent typing skills
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Digital Dictation
- Be a team player but also be able to work autonomously
- Be passionate about law and have a strong work ethic
- Be available to work Monday-Friday 9:00-17:00
- Have a full, clean driving licence.
